## Hi, I'm Iskren

I love nostalgic technology. For a while I'd been considering buying an iPod, but the high prices, lack of Spotify support and no Bluetooth kept me delaying. That's when I decided to build Pod as part of my participation in **BuildSpace Season 5**.

Pod to this day satisfies my need for an iPod by delivering the nostalgic iPod feeling through my desktop, while staying connected to Spotify and AirPods. What started as a personal project became something that thousands of people resonate with — the desire to experience that iconic click wheel and simple, focused music player in a modern setup.

## What makes Pod different

Unlike web-based iPod emulators, Pod is a **native macOS application** weighing just 1.9MB. It uses your Mac's trackpad for click wheel navigation with real haptic feedback — you can actually feel the clicks. It supports over 40,000 internet radio stations, local music files (MP3, FLAC, AAC, WAV), and Spotify integration is on the way.

## Built with care

Every detail in Pod is designed to recreate the authentic iPod experience — from the menu animations to the scroll inertia on the click wheel. It's the closest thing to holding an iPod Classic without actually owning one.
